Client Advisory: Regulation on Large Value Cash Transactions

In accordance with BSP Circular No. 1230, Series of 2026, large value cash payouts (e.g., withdrawals) exceeding Php1,000,000.00 or its equivalent in foreign currency shall be conducted through non-cash payment channels.

Such transactions shall only be made, facilitated, or processed through the following methods:

• Check Payment.
• Fund Transfer.
• Direct Credit to Deposit Accounts or other forms of payment through the Bank’s Digital Payment Platforms.

In compliance with this regulation, effective March 18, 2026, customers intending to transact cash out amounts exceeding ₱1,000,000.00 may be required to provide additional identification and supporting documents to establish the legitimacy and purpose of the transaction.
